Solutions for the development of clean and renewable energy sources for low income communities.
    A Program that aims at the generation of a livelihood by the commercialization of products from vegetable gardens irrigated by means of a system of pumps using solar energy as a primary source for the generation of energy, with the aim of replicating the model in other settlements in the region.

Support the creation of opportunities in alternative markets in the rural areas of Tocantins – Sweet potato: Bioenergy in Family Agriculture.

    A Program that is aimed at the implementation of a model of productive integration for the production and commercialization of alcohol and animal feed ration derived from the cultivation of sweet potatoes, involving small rural communities in Tocantins State.

Multiplication of the Social Carbon Methodology

    Train people from the communities surrounding the Island of Bananal to replicate the Social Carbon Methodology, aiming at enhancing the scrubland and increase the sustainable resources (natural, human, social, biodiversity, financial and carbon).

Protection of Hydro Resources in the Coconut River Basin - TO
    Aimed at creating protection strategies of hydro resources in the Coconut River Basin, through the promotion of creating protected areas, environmental education and the involvement of the local communities in the preservation of springs and the sustainable use of water.

Carbon Stamp Project

    The project has been contributing with action directed at the enhancing of the scrubland with suggestions of alternative economics and generation of employment and income for the small producers in a way to determine the importance of the conservation of these environments for future generations and also for the construction of a new development non-predatory and sustainable model. Publish the concept of social carbon, adding value (economic and environmental) to the products obtained from the environmental management of the Scrubland Biome.

Sustainable Alternative Economics for the Barranco do Mundo Community in Pium - Tocantins


    The program seeks bigger chances of growth for the involved community working with the following components:
      implantation of an Agroforest System  (SAF) that improves the income through the production and commercialization of fruit and vegetal oil;

      implantation of a vegetal oil processing unit permitting the generation of income adding value to the product and creating employment in the phases of building of the process;

      construction of a Honey House that generates income for the community through the sale of their products.

Energy Management for Sustainable Development – Canguaçu Research Center

    The main objective of this project is the supply of clean energy to the Canguaçu Research Center, implementing in the location the generation of energy that serves as a model for the future substitution of thermoelectric plant projects in the Amazon region.

Environmental Management for the Ceramic Industry

    This study is aimed at the measurement of carbon flows in the areas destined for this activity, through geo-processing studies, identifying a base line for projects of this type, as well as the potential of generating carbon credits related to the forestation activities.

Project LBA: Large Scale Biosphere Experiments – Amazon Region Atmosphere/TO (Canguaçu Research Center)

    The LBA is involved in the effort to establish an experimental site for the long term measurement that complement and offer a wide view of the physical-biotic system, and that strengthens the local structure and regional human capacity, with a view to solidify the research nucleus.

Train the Producers in Rural Settlements in Agrarian Credit

    Train farmers and families and also consolidate some of the suggested actions in earlier training sessions (Pronaf training 2003 and 2004/2005), aimed at the adoption of alternative practices that increase the level of production and an improvement in the quality of life and income.
