Carbon Stamp Project
The Carbon Stamp Project seeks to contribute, through action directed at the appreciation of the involved ecosystem (Cerrado), in the suggestion of alternative economics and generation of employment and income for the small producers. Furthermore it tries to define the importance of conservation of these environments for future generations and also the construction of a new non-predatory and sustainable development model.
The general objective is broadcasting the context of social carbon, adding value (economic and environmental) to the products originating from the handling of the Bioma Cerrado environment.
To obtain the carbon stamp, the producers need to modify their products by standardizing them and improving the quality and turning them into sustainable products.
The products made by the Social Carbon Methodology are:
▪ Handicraft with scrubland seeds (Taquaruçu community, Palmas- TO)
▪ Sweets from the Scrubland Delights Factory (União II Settlement, Pium- TO)
▪ Jams, liqueurs and Spices (Provi Settlement, Pium - TO)
